Mr. Bryon Wilfert Mr. Bryon Wilfert
 Riding: Richmond Hill (Incumbent)

Bryon Wilfert was first elected Member of Parliament in the riding of Oak Ridges in 1997 and re-elected in 2000, 2004 and 2006 in the riding of Richmond Hill.

Mr. Wilfert is the official Opposition critic for national defence and is the vice-chairperson for the special standing committee on Afghanistan. He is also a member of the standing committee of national defence.

He earned bachelor's degrees in arts and education, and a master's degree in political economy from the University of Toronto and earned the professional designation accredited municipal clerk treasurer (AMCT) from the St-Laurence College.

He was recently awarded the Premier's Awards for graduates of Ontario college of applied arts and technology. He and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Richmond Hill.
